LABORATORY AND TESTING CENTRE

Tested quality

No road surface would be durable, no material innovation sustainable without comprehensive quality control. It is the foundation for safe, economical and sustainable construction projects. To ensure this uncompromising standard, SWIETELSKY has its own accredited testing and inspection centre in Contela GmbH. It is the driving force behind our quality assurance and ensures that only tested and approved materials find their way onto our construction sites.

Comprehensive testing expertise from a single source

Using state-of-the-art methods and decades of experience, our team of experts tests all relevant materials. We ensure that legal requirements and standards are not only met, but often exceeded.

  • Asphalt and bitumen technology:
We carry out factory production control (FPC) for our asphalt mixing plants. In the laboratory, we develop and test new mix designs, test asphalt types with increased recycling content and evaluate the effectiveness of innovative additives.
  • Environmental chemistry:
As an independent body, we carry out chemical environmental analysis. This includes the analysis of construction waste in accordance with the Recycling Building Materials Ordinance, the examination of groundwater and wastewater, and the determination of the chloride content in hardened concrete.
  • Earthworks and aggregates:
We ensure the quality of unbound base courses, frost protection materials, sands and gravels. Compaction control after installation by means of load plate testing or density measurement guarantees the longevity and stability of the substructure.
